Mountain Cabin
Perched higher up the hillside, Brekka Retreat Mountain is our original cabin, built in 2019. This cozy hideaway offers the same peaceful atmosphere and stunning fjord views, perfect for guests who want a more rustic yet comfortable experience in nature. The cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, a private outdoor hot tub, and a warm interior designed for relaxation under the northern lights.

Brekka Retreat is a wonderful stop on a trip around Iceland. It is a serene place to relax, away from the crowds during high season, and if you are longing for civilisation, Reykjavík is not too far away. Perfect for a couple.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland.

Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

The cabin was beautiful, from the modern interior to the stunning views around! It was the perfect stay, very remote and out the way of the city but still close enough to travel to. The hottub was a nice touch, great for stargazing at night.

Elka and Barbara were Great at responding and were very helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here!
